About this Psychologist
Welcome to my practice, good people!
As a clinician, I work collaboratively, prioritizing the emotional, practical and cultural perspectives of the client, employing the theories and techniques that resonate and show results for the individual. I believe that the place of the therapist is to walk beside you, support you, help you uncover the self you would like to become. In the instance that you would like me to take a more directive approach, you have my promise that I will never suggest something that I would not do myself. Therapy should be practical, achievable, and accessible, but most importantly, your therapy should be aligned with your culture of values and needs.
In 2015, I graduated the Wright Institute, having trained in both Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioral Theories. My Predoctoral Internship and Postdoctoral Fellowship were completed through Pacific Institute, AgeSong Memory Care in San Francisco, CA, where I worked with elders with Neurocognitive Disorders, and adults with co-morbid neurocognitive disorder/TBI and psychiatric disorders, and substance abuse issues.
My clinical work includes individuals, older teens, adults, couples, families, various configurations of partnerships (blended families, monogamous, non-monogamous), LGBTIQ+ community, and be.
As a resident of the East Bay for the last 25 years, I take pride in serving the community with professionalism, transparency, serious self-reflection and a sense of humor.
